This is an opportunity for you to focus your services on a specialized market that averages 35-60 years in age (average age is around 50) with discretionary income to spend. Approximately 40% of the readership is couples, and 25% are children between ages 10-20.
Advertising Guidelines.
- We only accept “business-card” size (so that no one vendor can dominate a particular page.)
- No “personal ads” are being accepted at this time.
- We cannot enlarge or reduce the size on any artwork submitted.
- Ad location will be at the discretion of the editor and may change from month-to-month due to text article length (ads will not appear on the front screen).
- Ads may be in color, but the version mailed in our RailRoad Crossing monthly newsletter to our 350 mail list will be in black and white (a color PDF-formatted version of the newsletter is sent by email to all residents.)
- Submitted advertising copy is not returnable.
- The Homeowners Association retains the right to refuse ads from individuals and businesses that in the Board’s opinion are inappropriate.
What to Submit.
We are only accepting “photo-ready” ads of “business-card” size [NOTE: We define “photo-ready” as being in either (a) printed on glossy or flat paper 3.5 inches wide by 2 inches tall, or (b) an electronic file in TIFF, GIF or JPG format, saved in the exact size required.] We strongly suggest your ad not contain more than 3 lines of text because the character size becomes unreadable on-line. A catchy, colorful graphic is always better.
How/When to Submit.
Please send your photo-ready ad along with your check to our mailing address (see below) no later than the 25th of the month preceding the month in which you want it published. Ads can be sent either electronically (see email instructions below) or as hard copy via regular mail.
The Railroad Crossing is published the ____ of every month and the web site updated by the Wednesday following.
Rate Sheet.
