Join us in honoring two of our favorite teachers with a two day Tribute to Mr. Leonard Gagliardi, RHS Music Director (1955-1984) and Ms. June Robathan, RHS Drill Team & Women's P.E. Director (1955-1972). Come to the Tribute Dinner on Saturday, May 7, 2005 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Pickwick Gardens, 1001 Riverside Dr., Burbank, CA 91506. On Sunday, May 8, 2005 attend a Lunch and Concert in the Park, from 11:00am to 4:00pm at Pierce College, Woodland Hills, CA. After entering Pierce through the Mason and Victory entrance, drive all the way to the top of the hill and turn left into the parking lots.
The price for both events, if paid by September 15, 2004 is $110 per person. $120 when paid after September 15th and by April 15, 2005. Your check is your reservation, first come first serve. Make your check payable to: RHS Tribute. We will not be able to accommodate walk–in's as space is limited. We need to hear from you, in advance, even if there is only a slight possibility that you would attend. No tickets will be mailed, check-in will be at the door. Dress is smart casual. When remitting your Tribute reservation please submit a good copy of your senior picture, either by snail mail or by email to: RHSTribute@aol.com.
After checking in at the Tribute Dinner you can expect to receive a meal, a color-coded namebadge with your senior picture on it, special souvenirs; to have your portrait taken with your favorite teacher, (optional purchase) and a Photo Book in which you will also be included and will be sent to you later.
We're offering an opportunity to each of you, attending or not, to tell your favorite teacher how you feel about them and the impact they made in your life or tell them about your life and include pictures; you can be creative. Please submit no more than a one-sided 8-1/2" by 11" page which will be assembled into a book "as is" and presented to your favorite teacher to read later. Please send yours as soon as possible and no later than April 15, 2005.
We have made hotel arrangements with the newly renovated Holiday Inn Woodland Hills, 21101 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364 • 818/883-6110. The rate is $89 per night based on double occupancy plus up to two additional people in each room at no extra cost. The room includes a free buffet breakfast, with cook to order, for two adults; up to 4 children eat free all weekend when accompanied by adults. In order to get this rate, you must contact the hotel directly at 818/883-6110 and tell them you're with the RHS Tribute Group; internet reservations won't work here, only direct contact. There is free parking for hotel guests and free shuttle service, up to 7 miles, for those without transportation. These rates are valid for Thursday, May 5th through Sunday, May 8th, 2005. Your hotel reservation must be made by April 21, 2005 after that, the space left will be released.
Please let us know if you still play an instrument and would like to play at the tribute. We also need to know, in advance, if you're putting a group together.
If you have videos, movies, cassettes and/or CDs of the Band from 1955-1984 and Drill Team from 1955–1969 we would like to receive copies. If you have the expertise to convert and assemble them for the Tribute we'd love to hear from you.
We need your help in locating and contacting people you know who were in band or drill team; please send their information to us. We're trying to contact every former student and have limited time to search.
